Hey there, you youngsters! Let’s gab a bit about that fancy YSL COLLEGE BAG, yeah? The one all them city gals are totin’ around. Folks call it Yves Saint Laurent, but that’s a mouthful, ain’t it? Just YSL’s easier on my old tongue.

Now, I ain’t no fancy pants, but I hear things. Seems like this here COLLEGE BAG is a real popular one. They say it’s a “classic,” whatever that means. Sounds like somethin’ that don’t go outta style, like a good ol’ cast iron skillet. This here bag, though, it ain’t for cookin’ – it’s for showin’ off, I reckon.

I saw some gals talkin’ ’bout it online. They were yappin’ ’bout the size and the leather and whatnot. Said it comes in “medium,” which sounds just right – not too big, not too small. Big enough to hold your phone and your lipstick, I guess. And they say it’s made of “lambskin,” which must be soft like a baby lamb’s behind. Fancy stuff, I tell ya.

  • Is this YSL COLLEGE BAG worth the fuss? Well, I ain’t sure. Seems like a whole lotta money for somethin’ to carry your stuff in. But then again, I ain’t never been one for fancy things. A good sturdy tote bag from the grocery store always worked just fine for me.
  • Where can you get one? Now, that’s a good question. I heard tell you can find ’em new or used. Places like Redmond and Woodinville, wherever them places are. Sounds like city folk places to me. And if you’re lucky, you might even find one cheaper overseas, in Europe, they say. Paris, France, I think. Land of baguettes and berets. But that’s a long ways to go for a purse, ain’t it?

They got other bags too, this YSL fella. One called the LouLou, sounds like a gal’s name. And another one, the Le 5 à 7, all numbers and such. Confusin’ if you ask me. But that COLLEGE BAG seems to be the one everyone wants. It’s got that “envelope shape,” they say, like a letter you’d send to your sweetheart. Only this letter costs more than a whole month’s worth of groceries, I betcha.

Now, if you’re gonna spend your hard-earned cash on one of these fancy bags, you gotta make sure it’s the real deal. There’s folks out there makin’ fakes, you know. And you gotta take care of it, too. Keep it clean, don’t go throwin’ it around. The better you treat it, the more it’ll be worth if you ever decide to sell it. ’Cause that’s another thing – these here YSL bags, they hold their value, like a piece of land or a good cow.

So, why do people buy these expensive bags? Well, I reckon it’s ’cause they make ’em feel good. Make ’em feel fancy and important. And maybe it’s a way of showin’ off, lettin’ everyone know you got money to spare. Me, I’d rather spend my money on a new set of dentures or a good rocking chair. But to each their own, I always say.

The fella who makes these bags, or made ’em, he used to go by Yves Saint Laurent, but now they just call it Saint Laurent. Dropped the Yves, I guess. Like droppin’ a hot potato. But the bags are still the same, they say. Still fancy, still expensive. And they got this fella, Anthony Vaccarello, watchin’ over things now, makin’ sure them bags stay top-notch.

And if you’re one of them folks who follows them movie stars and such, you mighta seen Hailey Bieber carryin’ one of these bags. Not the COLLEGE BAG, though, a different one. The point is, these bags are popular with the rich and famous. And if you got the money, I guess there ain’t nothin’ wrong with splurgin’ a little.

But remember, a bag is just a bag. It ain’t gonna make you a better person or solve your problems. It might make you feel good for a little while, but that feelin’ wears off, just like the new car smell. So, if you’re thinkin’ about buyin’ a YSL COLLEGE BAG, make sure you really want it, and make sure you can afford it. Don’t go bankrupt tryin’ to keep up with the Joneses, I say.

And lastly, if you’re buyin’ used, pay close attention to how old it is, what model it is, how rare it is, and what kinda shape it’s in. ’Cause all them things matter when it comes to how much it’s worth. Just like a good ol’ tractor – the older it is, the better it is, long as it’s been taken care of. So there you have it, my two cents on them fancy YSL bags. Now go on and do what you please.
