This here watch, it’s called a Patek Philippe. Fancy name, right? This one, it’s the Gondolo, a 7041R-001. They say it’s a remake. I don’t know what that means, just sounds like a price, you know. They say it’s from 2020. It’s been around a while. Used, they call it, but it’s still very good. And it got a box, an original one. And some papers, too. Original papers, they say. I reckon it’s like a birth certificate for this watch. It says Patek Philippe, and then it says Hong Kong. Must be where it came from, this Hong Kong place.
Now, this other place, they’re selling one of these Patek Philippe Gondolo things. And you won’t believe the price! $24,623! For a watch! That’s more than I made in a whole year back in my day. It’s the same one, this 7041R-001. Rose gold, they say. Sounds like a flower, but it ain’t. It’s some kind of metal, I guess. And it’s manual wind. You gotta wind it up yourself, like them old clocks my grandma used to have.
They say it’s got a movement. Sounds like it dances. But it’s just some machine inside, I guess. Caliber 215 PS, they call it. Got small seconds, like a little hand that goes round and round. And 18 jewels! Can you imagine? Jewels in a watch! It’s just crazy. This Patek Philippe is wild.
- It’s got a little dial, they call it a sub-dial. Down at the bottom, at the 6 o’clock, like on a regular clock.
- This Caliber 215 PS thing, it beats real fast. 28,800 vph. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds important.
- This watch, it’s been owned before. Pre-owned, fancy words for used. But they say it’s in excellent condition. They checked it and all.
This Gondolo, it’s got a case that’s shaped like a rectangle. And they say it’s part of Patek’s form watches. I don’t know what form watches are, but that’s what they say. This watch, it’s for ladies. It’s got contours and style, they say. I think it looks just okay for a Patek Philippe Gondolo 7041R-001. But I like my old watch just fine.
They say you gotta check for some marks on the back. Hallmarks, they call them. Like a secret code or something. If it’s real gold, it’s got a “750” on it. That means 18k gold. They moved this Patek Philippe place in 1996. To Geneva, they call it. Plan-les-Ouates. Sounds French. They built a new place for making these watches. And they say the serial number, that’s like the watch’s name tag, it’s on the back. But it depends on the model, they say. This Gondolo 7041R-001 is very popular, I heard.
