Alright, so, I got this new watch, the CopyOMEGA Ω Co-Axial Master Chronometer 45.5mm. This thing is quite a mouthful to say, and it’s massive on the wrist, I gotta tell ya. The first thing I did was take it out of the box.
It comes in a pretty fancy box, all sleek and whatnot. I lifted the lid, and there it was, all shiny and new. This watch is not something you’d miss in a crowd, with its big 45.5mm case, it’s a real statement piece. I went ahead and strapped it on, and man, it felt solid. It is a bit heavy, but not in an uncomfortable way. It just feels like quality, you know?
- First Impressions: I was stunned. It is a beautiful watch.
- Unboxing: Pulled off the protective stickers. There were a lot of them.
- Trying it on: Strapped it on and it fit perfectly. The strap is comfy, and the watch itself is just stunning.
- Weight: A bit heavy, but in a good way. It feels premium.
- Size: It is big, but not too big for my wrist.
I spent some time fiddling with the crown, setting the time and date. Everything was smooth, like butter. These OMEGA watches, even the copies, have a nice feel to their movements. And speaking of movements, I did a bit of reading about what’s inside this thing.
They are calling it a “Co-Axial Master Chronometer” movement, which sounds pretty darn impressive. It is called the Omega caliber 9908 or 9914, I see there are different versions, which is a mouthful. It is supposed to be super accurate and resistant to all sorts of things, like magnetism and whatnot.
I even found out that this movement is certified by METAS. I am not totally sure what that means, but it sounds official. It is like a stamp of approval from some Swiss watch people, saying this movement is top-notch.
I wore this watch around for a few days, and I gotta say, I got a lot of looks. People were definitely noticing it. It is not every day you see a watch this big and shiny. And I could see why they were staring, this thing is gorgeous.
Wearing it Out
The dial is amazing, with all these little details and textures. I kept staring at it myself, especially in different lighting. It looks so good in the sun. I took it out for a spin, wore it to a couple of meetings, and even to the grocery store. It felt a bit over the top for grocery shopping, but hey, why not?
I went to check the price online, and it is not cheap. But I guess that is the price you pay for this kind of craftsmanship, even if it is a copy. I have seen some listings for a few thousand dollars. But let me tell you, for a copy, this thing is impressive. It is like the real deal, at least to my untrained eye.
So, that’s my little adventure with the CopyOMEGA Ω Co-Axial Master Chronometer 45.5mm. It is a big, bold, and beautiful watch. I am happy with it, and I think it is a great addition to my collection. If you are into big watches and want something that looks and feels expensive, this might be the one for you.
