Silver Snoopy, What’s That?
This here Silver Snoopy Award, it’s something they gave out a long time ago. Back in 1970, I think. Some space fellas got it. Now, they put it on a watch. This OMEGA Speedmaster, it’s got that Snoopy on it. And it’s been 50 years, so they made a special one. This 50th Anniversary, that’s what they’re calling it.
OMEGA Speedmaster, That’s a Fancy Name
They got these watches, these OMEGA ones, and they say they’re good. Like, really good. This Speedmaster Silver Snoopy Award one, it came out in 2020. October 5th, 2020, to be exact. People sure do like it. Some say it’s a good thing to have, like money in the bank. I don’t know about all that, but it sure is popular. They say it is a good investment, but how can a watch be an investment?
- That Snoopy thing, it was on other watches before.
- One was white, came out in 2015, for some Apollo 13 thing. 45 years, that was.
- Then this one, the 50th Anniversary one, in 2020.
- They say all these Snoopy watches, they’re good ones to have.
This New One, It’s Different
This new OMEGA Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award” 50th Anniversary, it ain’t like the others. They say it’s not limited, but everyone wants it. The back of it, that’s where the magic is, they say. The old ones, they had Snoopy on ’em, but small. This one, it’s different. It does something special, but I don’t rightly know what. These young folks with their fancy words.
The old ones, they only made so many. 5441 of one, 1970 of another. Numbers are hard. Something ’bout a mission that didn’t go right, and the year they got that Snoopy award. This new one though, they’re making as many as people want, I guess. Because it is not limited. But you know how it is, still hard to get one.
The Price of This Thing!
These watches, they ain’t cheap. Heard some folks paid a lot for ’em. Retail price, they call it. And the older ones, they’re even more now. It’s like those old quilts, the ones your grandma made. The older they are, the more folks want ’em, the more they cost. This OMEGA Speedmaster Silver Snoopy Award 50th Anniversary, it’s like that, I reckon. It was expensive when it came out, but now? Whew! This thing is so hot.
Fancy Words for a Fancy Watch
They got all these fancy words for the insides of this watch. Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861. What does that even mean? Sounds like something from one of those science shows. It just tells time, right? But they say it’s special. Keeps time real good, I guess. Better than that old clock on the wall, that’s for sure. This OMEGA Speedmaster, it’s a wonder, ain’t it?
It’s a Pretty Thing, Though
I saw a picture of this Silver Snoopy Award 50th Anniversary watch. It’s a pretty thing. Shiny and new. Got that Snoopy on it, looking all happy. I can see why folks like it. It’s a nice thing to have, I suppose. If you got the money for it. Me, I’ll stick to my old watch. It tells time just fine. But this OMEGA watch, yeah, that’s a good thing. And it is a nice watch, even if I don’t understand all that fancy stuff about it. It’s shiny, that’s for sure.
Well, that’s all I know about that OMEGA Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award” 50th Anniversary watch. It’s a big deal, that’s what they say. A real big deal. And that Snoopy, he sure is popular. On a watch, of all things. Times sure have changed from when I was a young’un. Back then, we didn’t have no watches with dogs on ’em, let alone a “Silver Snoopy Award“. No sir, we just had plain old watches. But this thing is a thing now. I still don’t know how can this be a good investment. But people just love it. I think they are crazy. But who knows?
