Alright, guys, so I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712 for a while now. It’s a gorgeous watch, but the real deal is way out of my budget. That’s why I started looking into the world of replica watches.
After doing a ton of research, reading reviews, and comparing different options, I finally decided to pull the trigger and go for a remake of the 5712 from a factory called PPF. This factory is known for making some pretty good Nautilus replicas, and the 5712 is one of their best. I saw a post from a guy called “Majorwilliams” about the new release of a PPF 5712 a while back, which gave me more confidence in this version.
The first thing I did was contact a few different dealers I had found on some forums. I asked them about the PPF 5712, the price, the availability, and the shipping process. I ended up choosing a dealer who seemed reliable and had good communication. I sent the payment, and then the waiting game began.
While I was waiting, I kept reading about the 5712 and comparing the replica to the original. The original 5712 is 40mm in size, and so is the PPF version. I also learned that the original has a movement called the Caliber 240, and the PPF version has a clone of it. It is equipped with the breakthrough PP240 super clone movement with top-quality finishing. The main difference I could find was that the original has a slightly thinner case, but it’s not something you’d notice unless you had them side by side.
After a couple of weeks, the watch finally arrived. I was so excited to open the package and see it for myself. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The watch looked amazing. The dial, the hands, the case, the bracelet – everything looked really well-made.
I’ve been wearing the watch for a few days now, and I’m really happy with it. It feels great on the wrist, and it keeps accurate time. I’ve even gotten a few compliments on it. Of course, I know it’s not a real Patek Philippe, but for the price, it’s an incredible watch. I mean, the real one is super hard to get; I heard that it’s nearly a 1% chance to get one without a long history with the official dealer!
To check the authenticity, I also tried to look at the case back. As I know, most watchmakers engrave the serial number on the case back’s outer side, but Patek doesn’t. So, if there is an engraved serial number on the case back’s outer side, it’s likely (but not definitely) a fake. Instead, Patek Philippe engraves serial numbers inside the case back when the case is solid. And for this remake version, there is no serial number outside, which is a good sign.
Here’s a quick rundown of what I did:
- Researched different replica factories and models.
- Contacted several dealers to compare prices and services.
- Chose a dealer and placed my order.
- Waited patiently for the watch to arrive.
- Inspected the watch carefully upon arrival.
- Enjoyed wearing my new watch!
Overall, I’m really happy with my decision to get a remake of the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712. It’s a beautiful watch that I can enjoy without breaking the bank. And it’s way thinner than the 5726, which is a big plus for me. If you’re thinking about getting a replica watch, I definitely recommend doing your research and finding a reputable factory and dealer. It’s a bit of a process, but it’s worth it in the end.
